Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Hepatology and Stem Cell Biology
Postdoctoral positions are available immediately within the Digestive Disease Research Center (DDRC) located within Scott & White Hospital, Texas A&M Health Science Center to work in the areas of hepatobiliary stem cell genetics and liver regeneration signaling. The lab currently studies signaling network crosstalk in human pluripotent cells during hepatobiliary injury and stem cell maintenance. One project focuses on the role of hepatic progenitor phenotypes in hepatobiliary injury, neuroendocrine response and stem cell biology. In another project, the fellow will study the genetic and non-coding RNA network in alcoholic liver injury. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and career-oriented. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree obtained within the past 3 years with US citizenship or permanent residency. Qualified candidates should have strong background in one or more of the following areas: molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, stem cell genetics. Previous experience in generating and analyzing iPS cells is desirable. Recent Ph.D. graduates with good English writing skill and strong publication record are encouraged to apply.
