Genome-wide identification of target genes
A highly motivated postdoctoral scientist is required for a researchproject funded by Cancer Research UK. The successful candidate will usea genome-wide approach to identify and investigate novel IRF-1 regulatedtranscriptional networks important for its tumour suppressor activity.We are a rapidly expanding, dynamic group based within the newly openedmultidisciplinary Centre for Biomolecular Sciences.
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience inmolecular and cellular biology. Knowledge of microarray technology andbioinformatics or experience in chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)will be an advantage.
Salary will be within the range £25,134 – £25,889 per annum (salary canprogress to £35,837 per annum, subject to performance). This post isavailable immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for aperiod of three years. Candidates nearing completion of a PhD are alsoencouraged to apply.
