The National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component of theNational Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health andHuman Services, is recruiting for several postdoctoral positions in theNeuroplasticity and Behavior Unit (NBU), Laboratory of Neurosciences(LNS) in the Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the NIA. Thepostdoctoral positions are available to study neural circuits importantfor learning and memory. Areas of investigation include the role ofexercise, dietary supplementation and adult neurogenesis in memoryfunction. The candidates for the multiple positions should haveexperience in one or more of the following fields of research:electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, behavior, virology.
The candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field with fiveyears or less of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a strong workethic and excellent written and presentation skills are encouraged toapply. The NIA IRP offers an outstanding training environment.
Salary is commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
