Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Ecology (2 posts)
The appointment will be full time and the salary range will be £39,818 � £46,972 per annum (Grade 8); £51,052 � £55,512 per annum (Grade 9), inclusive of London Allowance.
The UCL Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research (CBER ), Research Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment, is seeking to recruit two outstanding individuals developing world-class research in an area of ecology. The post holders will establish, develop and continue independent and collaborative research programmes examining significant aspects of interactions between biodiversity and environmental change. Empirical approaches using field and experimental systems are especially welcome. The post holders will be encouraged to establish collaborations with colleagues working at UCL and at related institutions in London, including the Natural History Museum; Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; the Zoological Society of London, and comparable institutions elsewhere, as well as with colleagues in the Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment, and across the Division of Biosciences. The successful candidates will also be expected to make an appropriate contribution to the department’s portfolios of graduate and undergraduate teaching.
The successful candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field of biology, and have demonstrated capability to initiate and conduct leading-edge research, demonstrated capability for teaching and the determination to make a positive impact as part of a team.
