Applications are invited for the Postdoctoral Researcher Positions in newly esthablished Laboratory of Animal Models and in Laboratory of Plasma Membrane Receptors at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. The positions are funded by the EU FP7 Capacities programme.
Laboratory of Animal Models is looking for enthusiastic and talented researcher to undertake projects related to application of optogenetical techniques in vivo in rodents. The task of the successful candidate will be to start a new, fully equipped set-up that allows for in vivo introduction of optogenetical tools into the brain and light-stimulated manipulation of those.
In Laboratory of Plasma Membrane Receptors the post-doc will work on imaging of raft-based signaling complexes assembled during activation TLR4 and FcγIIA receptors. The studies will be focused on molecular mechanisms of signal transduction aiming to reveal how receptors induce reorganization of the plasma membrane, activation of tyrosine kinases and phosphoinositide kinases.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in a relevant subject area and have expertise in molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemistry. For the candidate for Laboratory of Animal Models extensive experience in optogenetics is desired. An outstanding academic track record is essential.
The positions are available from January 1, 2013.
