职位描述: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assess plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care ofpatientsthroughout the clinic

2. Document accurately and concisely the care provided and its outcome

3. Carry out investigation and treatment prescribed by the physician

4. Communicate and discuss patient’s response to treatment andprogresswith physician and nursing colleagues assigned to patient

5. Participate actively in physician’s round.

6. Prepare and assist physician with procedures.

7. Collaborate and co-operate with physicians and other healthcareproviders in the smooth delivery of patient care and service.

8. Follow - up to ensure continuity of patient care and treatment plan.

9. Deliver safe and competent nursing care.

10. Demonstrate clinical skills, knowledge and critical thinking inthedelivery of patient care.

11. Provide patient / family information and education ondiseaseprevention, process and rehabilitation.

12. Manage complex patient care.

13. Maintain and care in the use of the equipment and supplies.

14. Act as a resource person.

15. Cross-cover as head nurse assigned.

16. Supervise junior nurses and be preceptor as assigned.

EXPERIENCES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

§ Modify interventions based on a deep understanding of patientandfamily needs attained through past experiences.

§ Participate in interdisciplinary forums that promote anintegratedapproach to patient care.

§ Implement unique and innovative approaches to meeting patient,family,and unit and practice concerns.

§ Lead / coordinate activities that impact the quality of care ontheunit and / or patient population.

§ Act as a resource to colleagues in relation to a patient population.

§ Skillfully negotiate conflict to promote collaboration.

§ Understand her/his role as a member of the health care team.

§ Actively empower and advocate for patients and families tomaximizetheir participation in decision-making and goal setting.

§ Work effectively on clinic-wide committees and initiatives.

§ At least 5 years working experiences in Internal Medicine out-patient clinic.

§ Require the strong capability in clinical judgement anddecision-makingduring the absence of team leader.

§ Provide guidance and orientation to nursing staff assigned to the unit.

§ Facilitate the smooth running of the department

§ Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with the public and staff

§ Demonstrate awareness of current nursing and health care practices

§ Participate in research, clinical and service quality activities.

§ Take an expanded role as assigned and deputize the nurse manager inher/ his absence.
